Has Food
Over the next few weeks,
children across our community
will be out of school for the
holidays. During that time,
struggling families like Ana’s
will be counting on your support
to help put food on the table.
As the mother of two precious
children — Fernando, Jr., 6,
and Jazmin, 4 — Ana works

kids need, including plenty
of nutritious food. But that’s

family’s financial situation.
Ana’s husband, Fernando, works
in construction. Although he
enjoys what he does, money
is often tight whenever he’s
between projects. This is
especially true during the
holidays; with Fernando Jr. out
of school and not being able to
access school meals over the
Thanksgiving
and winter
breaks, the
family sees
their small
budget
stretched
even further.

is able to take home at each visit
helps ensure her family will have

many with the safety net they
desperately need.
Ana and
Fernando
aren’t alone in their struggle
to provide the basics for their
family. Thousands of moms,
dads, grandparents and other
