Azzie can continue to receive nutritious food thanks to you
With 30 years of nursing under her belt, Azzie knows
what it means to care for people. She’s the primary
caretaker for her 75-year-old father who has suffered four
strokes. She also helps care for her three grandchildren.
When Azzie moved to Dallas to start a new life,
it wasn’t easy.
During her first year in North Texas, she wasn’t
working and could barely provide for herself. She also
was food insecure and didn’t know where her next meal
would come from.
Thankfully, a friend told her about a local food
pantry. Without a car, Azzie walks approximately a
mile in any kind of weather to pick up food. But she
doesn’t mind because she loves the people, the sense
of community and the healthy food she receives.
Because of you, Azzie doesn’t have to worry
where her next meal will come from.
“I’ve met a lot of friends through the pantry,”
Azzie says. “I love coming here.” “The pantry is a big help,” she says. “Thank you for
all the blessings. I tell people about you all the time.”
Azzie is sincerely grateful for this resource and
