CYCLING
Throughout the summer there will
also be free cycle training groups held
in our parks every Sunday you can drop
in on, and regular group social bike
rides led by qualified instructors (in
June, July and August). Free one-to-
one lessons also continue, year-round.
For more details on all these activities,

Council leader Julian Bell,
whose portfolio includes
transport, said: “Cycling
is such a fantastic way
to get around. It’s
fun, it’s free, it can
help you to keep
fit and is a great
way of exploring the
borough. This isn’t
just a celebration for
cyclists, we hope the festival
will encourage people who don’t
cycle very often to get out on their bike
or inspire non-cyclists to want to take
up our offer of free
lessons to learn for
the first time.”
For those who
prefer to exercise indoors,
Dormers Wells leisure centre is
also offering free introductory group
cycle fitness sessions on Tuesday, 3
July between 6–6.30pm and Thursday,
12 July, 6.30–7pm.
Ealing Cycling Campaign also
hosts regular group social rides. Visit
www.ealingcycling.org.uk for details.
