LOOKING FOR SOMETHING POSITIVE TO DO IN THE COMMUNITY? TIME TO FOSTER Sadly not all children are able to live with their own families. When this happens children sometimes come into foster care. Fostering is looking after children in your own home. Some of the children will return to their own families, or if this is not possible they may be adopted or permanently fostered. All sorts of people make good foster carers. The main requirements are to care about children and to have a spare bedroom. “I wanted to give back to the local community.” “Our children started to leave the nest.” IQBAL & NASEEM RUQAYA I KNEW IT WAS TIME “We wanted to give a home to children in need.” “My family commitments changed.” RUTH TO FOSTER SHAKEELA & TARIQ Fostering is a chance for you to make a real difference to local children’s lives. WHEN… You will be fully supported in your role as a foster carer and you will be helping local children in your community to have a better chance in life.
