The pioneers of ‘rockgrass’ Hayseed Dixie, and leading Rolling Stones tribute act
The Counterfeit Stones, will headline this year’s Ealing Blues Festival.
T
aking place in Ealing’s
Walpole Park, the festival
will run over the weekend of
21–22 July.
No strangers to experimentation and
originality, Hayseed Dixie have recorded
albums in Norwegian, covered AC/
DC to critical acclaim and boast the
fastest banjo player in the world. With
an impressive catalogue of 15 albums –
their latest released last year – Hayseed
Dixie have toured the European and US
festival scene prodigiously and promise
to deliver a raucous show.
The Counterfeit Stones have been

jokingly, but respectfully, hailed by
Mick Jagger as ‘the most famous
Stones band in England’. Fronted by
the charismatic Nick Dagger, the band
come equipped with classic hits, retro
costumes and humour to entertain
audiences of all ages.
Continuing its dedication to the
diverse blues scene in the UK, the
festival will also be welcoming
Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, fresh from the
release of their fourth studio album
Superscope in September 2017.
