Jimin attended Busan Performance Art
High School and graduated in 2013
as a top student.
He began dancing in 8th grade and was
inspired by Rain performances.
In Spring 2012, his dance instructor told
him he should audition for a company’s
audition.
He passed and went to Seoul in May and
met the first member of BTS which was
J-Hope.
He was the last member to join BTS.
He still carries the first admission ticket
to an amusement park they all attended
together.
Before debut, he was almost let go
because his style of dancing was not the
correct fit for BTS’ style.
His major was modern dance and the
style for BTS was going to be idol chore-
ography, he had a hard time picking up
the style.
He looks up to Taeyang from Big Bang,
Rain, and Chris Brown. He says they have
amazing voices.
His solo “Lie” has sold over 100 thousand
electronic copies and is the second most
downloaded song after Blood Sweat and
Tears from the Wings album.
Has several solo songs: Lie - Wings,
Intro: Serendipity - Love Yourself Her,
Serendipity Extended Version - Love
Yourself Answer.
The songs that touched his heart are -
Road, Young Forever and Magic Shop.
