Human Services
People in strong neighborhoods care for each other, look out for each other. To them, being a good neighbor
isn’t an antiquated notion from a bye-gone era. Rather, it is a deeply cherished value that keeps communities
healthy and vibrant. We support organizations that strengthen Arlington neighborhoods and our neighbors.
Boys & Girls Clubs
As Arlington’s population has grown, overcrowding
has become a challenge for Arlington ISD. To alleviate this
problem in the north part of the City, the school district
partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington to build
the Great Futures Academy, an 8,500-square-foot space
embedded within Peach Elementary which opens in the fall
of 2016.
The club will accommodate 200 more children than
the Boys & Girls Club Rocquemore branch it is replacing,
enhance services for students through access to the school
and provide meeting space for the community.
The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation was honored to
become the first major donor to the project with a $650,000
capital grant. With our grant, we pledged ongoing support
for the Boys & Girls Club of Arlington and AISD and the
commitment to enrich our families and youth for generations
