On March 24, Moore Elementary celebrated its 25th anniversary with former and current students, staff and parents. Kooken Education Center students enjoyed a beautiful spring day with a visit from the Big Red Barn animals. Student also planted seeds, raced horses, sat on tractors and milked a cow. Sandy McNutt, namesake of the new McNutt Elementary, visited the construction site of the future school. She, along with Principal Jackeline Orsini, toured the site with the construction managers, architects and other AISD staff. The Arlington Sunrise Rotary presented tablets to fifth grader Landon S. and third grader Stacy F. at Thornton Elementary after the two had their names drawn from all students who had perfect attendance for the six weeks. Students at Patrick Elementary attended the UTA Epic Challenge on April 9 with chaperones Sara Gann and Julieta Rodriguez, who also organized the trip for students.
