Sherrod Elementary was able to squeeze in a Chili Cook Off into
its Science Night, which made for full bellies and a fun time. AISD

What’s happening
around the district
Meteorologist Greg Fields from WFAA-TV visited the Ashworth
Elementary fourth graders and talked to them about the weather.

Bowie High School students from Key Club, Student Council,
AVID, National Honor Society, soccer and swimming all helped
contribute as the school put together boxes of necessary items and wrote
cards for members of the military overseas as part of Bowie Gives Back.

Students from Arlington High, Shackelford Junior High, Jones
Academy, and Adams, Hill and Knox elementaries were part of
the 14 schools that had students at The University of Texas at
Arlington as part of Maverick Spirit Kid’s Day.
