WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?
Egg white omelet with ham, mushroom and cheese. Nothing
like a morning meeting with a constituent or client and the
perfect breakfast to start the day.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE SUPERHERO?
This one is easy as my favorite superheroes are the teachers
in my family, the AISD and across the country. I truly
believe teachers are superheroes,because it is one of the most
difficult jobs in this country and critical to the success of our
nation. Daily they do all they can to provide differentiated
instruction to all levels of learners. They know every child
matters, and I can’t wait to have those teachers impact my
child in the coming years as they have done for my wife and I.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EXTRACURRICULAR
ACTIVITY?
It has changed recently as spending time with my new
7-month-old daughter seems to be my number one activity,
and it is the best thing to ever occur in my life. Other than
family, I spend my free time serving the district as it takes
every waking minute, and luckily I have a very understanding
wife and friends, along with a terrible golf game.

AS A YOUNG CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO
GROW UP TO BE?
I actually grew up wanting to be a principal, as both my
parents were public school teachers in th HRT
