Interview with Drummer Oliver Polanco
1. NGCM: When did you know that you wanted to get into the business that you are in?
Oliver - Ever Since I've Seen Motley Crüe Live back in the late 80's . They Pulled Me Right In LOLOLOL
.
2. NGCM: What is you specialty and style of?
Oliver: I Would Say Pre Production, Production , Producing and Songwriting has become my specialty oppose to drums. Style !!!!! Well I've been influenced by many great artists locally and around the globe. So just to be on the safe side. UNIVERSAL.
3. NGCM: How do you prepare yourself for what you do?
Oliver- I don't - I Just. Do it .
4. NGCM: Where have you worked so far?
Oliver- I've Worked from Wholesale , retail , sales ,schools , construction, ASL Interpreter and etc.
5. NGCM: Who if anyone influenced you?
Oliver- Bono from U2 has been a major influence.
6. NGCM: Do you do tours and lots of personal appearances?
Oliver- As far as tours we've stayed pretty much close to the tristate area building up a stronger fan base before we go full force . We only do personal appearances on per request basis .
7. NGCM: Are you currently working on any projects?
Oliver- Yes. I've Just Finished Recording A Demo CD For Another band . Been Busy Recording With Other Artists Besides Of The Sea .
8. NGCM: If you weren’t doing this what would you be doing right now?
Oliver- Would Of Been A Full Time ASL Interpreter.
9. NGCM: When you walk down the street in your hometown are you stopped by fans? If so, how do you deal with them?
Oliver- Sometimes but I Constantly Get People Staring At Me. Sometimes I get Hey Aren't You That Drummer That Does That Wild Drum Solo Walking And Jumping Off Your Drum Set. LOLOLOLOLOL. I'm Very Humble By This and Embrace Each One Of Them.
10. NGCM: Where do you see yourself in the industry of what you are doing?
Oliver- I See Myself Continuing To Grow and Work With Other Producers and Artists.
