Sunflower Ride Report
February 7th-9th
O
n Friday we all met in Sunflower to ride
Passage 21, Pine Mountain and Passage 22,
Saddle Mountain. Because of the closure of the
Bushnell Tanks area around Sycamore Creek finding
a campsite for a large group of horse trailers was all
but impossible. Cross Bar Ranch came to our rescue,
opening a large arena for us to camp in. John Whitney
was a wonderful host who joined us on the trail.
We learned a lot of history of the area as his family
has been there for generations. Many thanks go out
to Vicky Christison, neighbor to the Cross Bar, for
making all the arrangements for us and leading us on
loop trails as only locals can.
