owdy! This is Tatum Lance,
Gilbert Rodeo Teen Queen. I
am so excited to invite you to
participate in the Fun Family Event of
Mutton Bustin’! This event is special to
me because I was the Gilbert Days Lil
Dudes Mutton Bustin’ Rodeo Princess
when I was a little girl. My family has
a great legacy with Gilbert Days. My
grandma, Pattie Williams, has been
a valuable volunteer for Gilbert Days
for over 3 decades! I have grown up
witnessing the acts of community
service provided through the Gilbert
Promotional Corporation. I have seen
the Gilbert Days Royalty Kicking Up
Kindness platform in action and have
heard cute stories about Good Deed
detectives and acts of kindness. So, let’s
keep the western traditions alive—come
out and join us!
Lil Dudes Rodeo will be Friday,
November 14th with sign ups at 4:00
pm and rides will begin at 5:00 pm.
On Saturday, November 15th, sign
ups start at 11:00 am and rides will
begin at high noon, 12:00. On Sunday,
November 16th, sign ups start at 11:00
am rides will begin at high noon,
12:00. The cost to ride is $20.00. First
come first ride. The event is limited to
20 riders per day.
Kids will be furnished with a vest
and helmet to ride the sheep. Your Lil
Dudes should wear closed toe shoes and
long pants to help protect their legs and
toes. A long sleeve shirt/jacket can help
protect their arms.
There will be two winners each day
from each age group that will be invited
to come back on Sunday to compete
for a belt buckle. So come on out and
join in on the fun! There will be a prize
wheel and a lemonade stand provided
by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.
