Another Prestigious
Win for Local Trainer
orse trainer Dan Manning of Wickenburg
won the purebred open championship of this
year’s cutting competition at the Scottsdale
Arabian Horse Show aboard HF Zinson Delray, a
20-year-old gelding owned by William Dudley of
Minneapolis, Minn. This brings the pair’s total
to four Scottsdale championships since 2007.
Dudley also won the non-pro championship this
year riding his horse, adding to their wins in 2010
and 2011. Manning has numerous champion and
reserve-champion titles from the Scottsdale show
on several Arabian cutting horses he trained and
would like to see more Arabians in his barn in the
future. The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show runs
for 10 days each year in February and attracts
competitors in every discipline from all over the
world. Many consider it one of the top shows in
the Arabian horse world.
