hug and THANK YOU to the community
for their generosity over the last year. From
volunteers donating more than 4,000 hours
of time to financial donations, to the Hay
Drive, the community helped the program
reach children who have otherwise not been
given a chance.
“We cannot express to the community, our
donors, volunteers and staff our depth of
heartfelt gratitude for your dedication to
our program this year – and every year. We
are blessed to be part of an amazingly giving
community and thank you from the bottom
of our hearts for all that you do for us,”
said Cindy Jones, Two Hearts Horsemanship
Program Director.
Jones adds that visitors are encouraged, “To see
the horses interacting with the children is truly a
miracle. These are children who were unreachable
in a traditional counseling or foster care setting.
They, like our horses, have been abandoned. The
healing that happens in our barn and arena is life
changing for everyone – children, horses, mentors,

Last year there was a great need to expand the
arena where the children, horses and mentors
interact. Jones and her team began 2012 with
hope and prayer for the means to be provided for
much-needed expansion. In November 2012 she
received news that the Two Hearts Horsemanship
Program was the recipient of a $10,000 Challenge
Grant. This meant any funds raised from that date
through the end of the year would be matched
This past February the community was
invited out to Sunshine Acres for a tour of
the facilities and for their arena dedication
celebration ceremony so that people could
see what their donations and hard work
were doing to make a real difference for children
this program serves. The team at Two Hearts and
Sunshine Acres continues to encourage visitors to
come and see how they are helping to change
lives.
