new book, It’s a
Long Story: My
Life, will be released
on May 5. The book
covers his childhood
in Texas during the
Depression to his
time as a Nashville
songwriter in the ‘60s
to his reinvention as a
cultural icon starting
when he moved back
to Texas in the ‘70s.
The stories behind
Willie’s classic albums
such as Stardust, Red Headed Stranger and Phases
and Stages are included, too.
Fans will also get to read about Willie’s
relationship with his fellow country legends Merle
Haggard, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.
It’s a Long Story is Willie’s first book since
2012’s, Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die:
Musings from the Road.

eba’s new album, Love Somebody, is due
out April 14 featuring her latest single,
“Going Out Like That.” She’s been
working on the project for some time now,
and the song-searching process has been a
long one.
Reba says, “We listened to thousands of songs
to find just the right ones for this album.” She
adds, “We can’t wait to hear what you think
about it.”
