W e are offering a participation clinic each day of the Verde Valley Equine Festival. These clinics will give you the opportunity to bring your own horse and have 2 1/2 hours of instructional time with one of our trainers at the affordable cost of $50 per clinic. We are excited to offer these clinics and think they will be a great addition to our wonderful lineup of educational opportunities for you and your horse. To insure plenty of one on one time with the trainer, the clinics will be limited to only twelve participants, six of which are reserved for VIP pass holders. G reg has competed successfully in many arenas in the horse world including reining, reined cowhorse, team roping, ranch rodeo, EXCA, American Horseman’s Challenge and is a working ranch cowboy. He took a horse to the 2013 Mustang Million and placed in Dressage, Free Style, Cow Work, Trail and Reining. Greg had just over 20 rides on that horse. He takes great pride in training the ultimate in versatility horses, using a no pain, no fear and no restraint program. His program is easy for horses and riders to understand and will help you on the road to master horsemanship. L anny Leach is a nationally known horseman and clinician. He most recently placed second in the National Finals of Colt Starting Challenge USA in Las Vegas. He was selected to serve as the training advisor at Montgomery Creek Ranch, a not for profit horse sanctuary in northern California to oversee training nearly 200 wild horses. Lanny will use his 7 principles of knowledge, patience, preparation, planning, consistency, repetition and change to help you and your horse develop the confidence and ability to work together to make lateral movement, leg yields and side passing achievable. P aula is no newcomer to competition, she has numerous championships in many events including Mounted Shooting, EXCA and Barrel Racing. Paula will teach you drills and techniques to keep your barrel horse balanced and working from his hind end. You will also learn how to identify and fix problems before they become major issues. This clinic will also work on rollbacks, extension/ collection, precision of foot work and how to apply it to barrel racing. AZintheSaddle.com March 2015 29
