John Eric’s passion to play music has been sidelined a few times in the last 8 years due to health issues, but his commitment and drive is stronger than ever. John was diagnosed with kidney failure in April of 2006. He spent the next 2 and a half years on dialysis waiting for a kidney transplant. October 26, 2008 that day finally came. John was given a new lease on life and intends to take full advantage of it! John was born in Phoenix but has lived abroad due to being a military brat (father is retired Army aviator). He spent a few years attending college in Seguin, Texas (in between Austin and San Antonio). You can hear the influence Texas had coming thru in John’s music and style. John’s influences include George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Clay Walker, Merle Haggard, and Pat Green to name a few.
