Glendale Equestrian Club
visits sayer spring
Story by Deb Blankenship, Glendale Equestrian Club Secretary
G
lendale Equestrian Club members and
friends arrived at our staging destination
and embarked on a beautiful day for a ride.
As the picture story unfolds on our website,
www.gecriders.com, you can see we rode some
high elevations. Lonnie was our trail guide. We
rode to two wind mills where we were able to
water our horses. We continued on to Sayer
Spring where Terri had hamburgers and hot
dogs waiting for us. Lunch was delicious with all
the extras deviled eggs, cold slaw, potato salad,
chips, bunt cake, brownies. We visited and had
lunch on the trial for over an hour giving us a
rest and the horses too. Many member’s hiked
up to the spring, then on up to the top of the
mountain edge to enjoy the view. I think you
can see Karen and Linda in one of the pictures.
We arrived back at the trailers around 3:00 p.m.
“what a great ride this was”. At the end of the
day we said our good byes and hugs and said we
need to do this again. Glendale Equestrian Club
wants to thank Terri for cooking for us. The
hot dogs and burgers were delicious. Terri and
Vicki came all the way from Iowa to cook for
us. THANK YOU. If you would like to see GEC
clubs history view our pictures on the website.
Glendale Equestrian Club has two planned
rides each month. Please see our website, www.
gecriders.com, if you would like to join us for ride
locations and directions. We also have monthly
meeting the last Tuesday of most months at
Dillon’s 8706 W. Thunderbird Ave.
