The Cinch Timed Event Challenge offered ropers
a chance to catch some cash with $2,500 added
to the Open Heading and Heeling, and $1,250
added to the Non Pro Heading and Heeling.
Cinch has been a proud sponsor of the roping
over the past four years. Ten showed in the Open
Heading January 28th while 11 competed in
the Open Heeling. Jon & Peggy Hershberger’s

son Jason put him in position for a fast heel
catch at 6.56 to take the top spot and $1,440.
Brad Barkermeyer rode Greenberg Land And
Livestock’s horse Im Easy Darlin to a close
second at 6.75 and a $1,080 check.

The 4D Sun Circuit Sweepstakes

fast and hard running. At the
end of the night, the fastest time

of 18.668 and picked up $425. 4D paid $369 to

In addition to the added money performance
classes, there was plenty of reining, cow horse,
cutting and roping in AQHA classes with entries
up across the board. Versatility Ranch Horse saw
a record 32 horses. By all accounts, the 2014 Sun
Circuit was bigger, better, brighter and provided
a fun atmosphere for everyone. Exhibitors loved
the schedule, the facilities, the footing and the
expansive space at WestWorld. Winners were
rewarded with fabulous prizes, and random give
aways delighted those regardless of the judges’
placings. With more fun, more events and bigger
classes, Sun Circuit just keeps getting better.
