n April 1, 2017, Copper State Peruvian Paso Club
members attended the Client Education Day
sponsored by the Cave Creed Equine Surgical Clinic
in Desert Hills. This was a chance to learn about new ideas
and concepts from the Clinic’s skilled veterinarians. Our sincere
thanks go out to Dr. Vidal and his staff for including our Club members.
Topics covered were the prepurchase exam, what to look for and how to
help the veterinarian. Other information related to equine medications and
how and why to use them. New concepts on treating laminitis were also
discussed as well as gastric ulcers, digestion and how that relates to feeding
management. Club members came away with a greater understanding
of how to take care of their horses. Included was a lunch provided by the
Clinic that was enjoyed by all.

Shaw, Krys Johnson, Liz Potof and Michele Wilson, along with their guests.
