Another Brick in the Wall: the Phoenix Brick Yard Legacy William Horner W hat does a Big Chief Cola bottle produced long ago in Prescott have to do with construction? This glass antique was unearthed along with other vintage glass bottles, one high heel shoe, rare handmade bricks, and old clay pipes during excavation for the redevelopment of the former Phoenix Brick Yard (PBY). The site, located on Seventh Avenue just north of Interstate 17, and was recently a beehive of activity with contractors building new industrial facilities (see “Landmark Phoenix Brick Yard Redeveloped,” page 24, ACC Spring 2015 issue).
