The west view looks across the M1 motorway, Jan Smuts Avenue interchange as well as the existing KPMG head office to have the same increased land use rights and then consolidated into one stand. This process has now been completed after five years of negotiations and compliance with the legal requirements of a public tender. The Johannesburg Property Company was an integral part of this process and the result is evidence of their constructive response when approached to consider a land assembly program of this nature. KPMG Phase II DESIGN The Phase I project provides the functional facilities for the Corporate Head Office. These comprise an auditorium with 330 seats capable of expansion to 520 seats with the use of acoustic partitions (9m in height). These are able to traverse from the east elevation to close off the atrium to provide privacy to the expanded auditorium. The canteen and Wanooka Heritage buildings provide staff and executive facilities. 65
