Located at Menlyn Maine , Pretoria , Time Square is the latest property to be developed by the Sun International Group . Representing the largest development in the hospitality , gaming and leisure industry since the construction of Sun International ’ s GrandWest Casino in Cape Town in 2000 , Time Square takes its place as the group ’ s flagship property .
Comprising a state of the art casino , luxury hotel , conference facilities , 14 restaurants , lounges and bars , upscale retail outlets and an 8,000-seat arena , Time Square hails the start of a new era in entertainment , events and conferencing for Pretoria . The hotel will introduce a new concept in that it will offer a mixed grade of hotel accommodation in a single building . There will be 96 Standard rooms ( three-star equivalent ), 94 Luxury rooms ( four-star equivalent ) and 48 Premium rooms and suites ( five-star equivalent ) accommodation .
Developed at a cost of more than R4 Billion , Time Square successfully creates a destination for entertainment , gaming , dining and luxury accommodation . The second largest casino in South Africa , Time Square features 2,000 slot machines and 60 gaming tables spanning two floors in its current configuration .
The Casino was opened in April 2017 . The Sun Arena and the Maslow Time Square Hotel are currently under construction . The arena will host its first major attraction in November 2017 and the hotel will open its doors in April 2018 .
