THE CONFERENCES
The conferences are curated to provoke thought, impart new ideas
and entertain with panel discussions bringing together industry
opinion leaders as well as keynotes from those who are making
a difference to the hospitality experience. Delegates will be
introduced to current trends, the stories behind some of Europe’s
latest openings, international perspectives on Europe’s design
climate and glimpses into the future for hotels, restaurants and
bars. Just a few of the ‘must hear from’ names are Alon Baranowitz
and Irene Kronenberg of B+K Architecture, Tina Norden from
Conran and Partners, and Valeri Chekheria of Adjara Group
(Eat Conference) as well as Andew Zobler of Sydell Group, Inge
Moore and Nathan Hutchins, founders of Muza Lab, Tom Hupe
of Perkins+Will and Lighting Design International’s Sally Storey
(Sleep Conference).
THE EXHIBITION
With more than 150 international exhibitors, this year’s showcase
will launch over 50 new collections. Alongside such returning
brands as Bang & Olufsen, Contardi, emco Group, Parla Design,
Roca, Style Library and the event’s Founder Sponsor GROHE,
newcomers will include family-run company, BluePrint Ceramics,
contemporary flooring company, kymo, and the designer of
premium shades, loungers and cabanas, TUUCI.
THE SETS
Four leading practices – AB Concept, Denton Corker Marshall, HBA
London, and Yasmine Mahmoudieh – have taken on the challenge
of creating the Sleep Sets - concept guestrooms designed
afresh year to inspire their visitors and add to the hotel design
conversation. This year’s sets will burrow into the DNA of West
Ham Football Club, Maison Pierre Hermé Paris, the Natural History
Museum and Penguin Modern Classics in a potentially disruptive
pairing of much-loved, non-hotel brands with hotel designers and
architects.
