MOORHOUSE
Within the busy corporate environment of Pictet’s London
headquarters, the marketing and communication team’s office
has been transformed into a ‘creative zone’ with a very difference
ambience to the adjoining accommodation.
The Head of Group Corporate Communications wanted his team
to feel motivated and inspired by the new design and was keen
to move away from the traditional banking workplace set-up with
rows of individual desks separated by privacy dividers. Instead, a
large communal table was adopted to encourage team integration.
This beautifully created centre piece and the plan chest meeting
table were bespoke pieces constructed in solid oak with a rough
sawn finish to compliment the solid timber floor. As part of a
highly serviced office, this area needed to maintain access to
the floor void and to allow this a flooring system with magnetic
backed, easy to lift planks was specified.
The extensive use of timber together with the selection of eclectic
domestic style furniture and light fittings helped create a ‘home
from home’ working environment.
