AlmosT 70% of our wATer contain minerals which make the
water hard. These form lime scale in hot water systems, on taps,
baths, shower heads and screens. The scale in hot water systems
fur up pipes and reduces water flow, it also coats heating coils
and elements dramatically reducing the ability to heat the water.
Scale acts as an insulator causing electric elements to over heat
and fail, resulting in expensive repair costs and higher heating
bills. Fitting a water softener will prevent this happening but
over time it will remove most traces of existing scale from the
system.

Soft water will allow the soap to lather more easily enabling you

Shampoos also work more effectively in soft water needing only
a fraction of the normal amount of shampoo, soap or gell, as
there is no sticky hard water scum ,you are left with fresh feeling
soft & silky skin. The shower head, screens, tray and tap stay
clean and do not get coated in unsightly white lime scale.
Water heating when hard water is heated lime scale is deposited
in the hot water tank or heat exchanger (in a combi boiler) which
rapidly reduces the heating efficiency causing the boiler to take
longer to heat the water up and use more fuel, it
could also cause the hot water tank or heat exchanger to fail
prematurely costing hundreds of pounds to replace!
