Monitor Audio marries audio valour with visual discretion CF230 belies compact dimensions to deliver party-capable audio Monitor Audio reveals the CF230, its most visually discreet architectural speaker system. A truly comprehensive offering for the home technology sector, the new speaker is also the British loudspeaker manufacturer’s most flexible device, providing an abundance of design possibilities for integrators, architects and designers to work with. 1. Installing into a new ceiling In a pre-construction, flush fit setting, the result is a seamless appearance with no shadow-creating edges, and one which becomes even more discreet when the grille is painted to match the ceiling colour. The finished result is quickly achieved, thanks to the CF230’s carefully developed, patent pending pre-construction kit, which includes a more conventional pre-construction bracket. The bracket enables the cut-out hole to be cut after the plasterboard is fitted. Once the plaster is dry, integrators just need to sand back the area. 2. Installing into an existing ceiling Fitting the CF230 into an existing construction, or where minimal disruption to the building is a mandatory requirement, is straightforward. The CFB3-KIT retrofit installation kit offers both round and square grilles, allowing the customer to decide on the shape at the final stage. The flexible bracket fits in a hole smaller than the bracket area, and provides a firm fixing behind the plasterboard/Sheetrock, complete with precise machine screw fixing points for the driver. This ingenious retrofit bracket is unique to Monitor Audio. www.monitoraudio.com
