Advanced Foundation Technology
Limited (AFT) is the UK business of
engineer and entrepreneur Olof
Christensen. For many years Olof
has been installing foundations
in Sweden and Scandinavia and
as recently as 2012 72% of homes
built in Sweden and Scandinavia
used a foundation system based
on his product Groundshield
Way more than just a foundation
Groundshield is an ideal raft
foundation system for houses but
also buildings in general as can be
seen across Sweden. It is simple
to build typically taking about
three days for two people to
construct an average sized house
foundation – including underfloor
heating and the finished ground
floor.
AFT design each foundation on
a case by case basis to ensure
every foundation is specified to
incorporate any load bearing
and design requirements and
also its own specific underfloor
heating needs. Most builders
choose underfloor heating but it
is optional.
The complete package of
components, including the “L”
shaped cement coated perimeter
sections unique to Groundshield,
are delivered to site together with
a full design. With this delivery,
basic construction skills and
minimal training after three days
you will have a foundation and
prepared ground floor ready to
receive finish the finish of your
choice.

Directive and complies with all EU
