Enthusiasm for architecture and engineering
in timber is growing rapidly among a new
generation of architects and designers.
The reasons for the success of timber in
construction today lie with the technological
advances of timber and construction research:
design; all of which have been proven to be
unfounded. Today we are able to build virtually
any kind of timber building (a 24 story timber
building is going up in Vienna in autumn 2015)
with the same fire resistance as traditional
builds and with good sound insulation.
