Review of South Texas Business Conditions
BEE COU NTY
Retail trade is the most popular business in Bee
County, followed by accommodation and food services,
and other services. Retail stores together generate
the largest sales volume in the county. The individual
manufacturing and oil and gas extraction firms are
relatively large in terms of sales. Relative to the rest of
the nation, the local industries are rather concentrated,
especially in oil and gas production, but the types of
jobs are rather diversified.
