Stallions in the Stallion Campdraft at Paradise Lagoons in 2009. Chex has been an amaz- ing stallion to own and he has a tem- perament second to none. He was an unreal sire to ride and for a long bar- relled big fronted horse he could just float after a beast. He’s 25 this month and we are still utilising him within our stud and accepting a few outside mares to him this season. Amanda has retained four broodmares sired by him that she now joins to Duckrey and QP Clover Doc. Yulgilbar Hank Man Chex Q-29760 Since meeting at Dungowan Camp- draft in September 2010, Amanda and Neil Faint have successfully combined their years of experience and their competitive edge to contin- uously produce Quarter and Aus- tralian Stock Horses that showcase exceptional breeding and an ability to perform. It is Amanda and Neil’s continued investment in genetics to produce supreme progeny to the advantage of their clients who have earned their reputation as respected breeders. Two in particular stand out being 2009 drop progeny, Texas Star Commanchie Quixote and Texas Star Majestic Chex, both of which were sold as yearlings at the 2010 Land- mark Yearling and Broodmare Sale in Toowoomba, Queensland. Amanda attained a certificate in Advanced Equine Reproductive Management and Artificial Insemina- tion under registered equine special- ists Angus McKinnon and Jim Vasey at Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital in 2015. Partnered with Neil’s experience in handling, training and successfully campaigning competi- tive Campdraft horses, Texas Star Quarter Horses is well placed as one of Australia’s premier Quarter and Australian Stock Horse studs. In February 2011 together, they made the decision to purchase Duckrey at the Landmark Classic Sale. He was a 5-year-old and was top price stallion that year. Neil commenced Campdrafting him sev- eral months after his purchase and he has proven to be an invaluable addition to their stud and Campdraft team, and has deepened the genetic pool at Texas Star Quarter Horses. Duckrey really is the whole package, backed by a proven performance pedigree, he has correct confor- mation, unlimited cattle sense and speed to chase and rate a beast and is a very easy sire to handle and own. He is the ideal outcross for Stock Horse or Quarter Horse mares. Duck- rey is out of one of Australia’s best producing mares Dashing Duckling, also the dam of the famous mare Ducks Dux. Neil and Amanda welcomed a beau- tiful baby girl into their family on the 13th October 2015 - her name is Annabelle Grace Faint. Annabelle certainly has plenty of horses to pick from should she choose to pursue a passion for horses like her parents and grandparents.
