PG.8 OFFICE REPORT Welcome to the July/August edition of the Australian Quarter Horse Association Magazine. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Tania Hobbs for her past dedication to our magazine and wish her well with her new business endeavours. W e hope you enjoy our new look magazine with this edition being Digital and would like to thank Tracey from Peek Graphics for coming on board. We are also excited to be launching our new look website which will include the reintroduction of on-line breeding returns. On the International stage we have Trans-Tasman just around the corner. Good luck to our team who are travelling to Taupo, New Zealand to take on the Kiwi’s. Looking forward to hearing about their wonderful experience and successes when the Aussies take the challenge to the Kiwis on their home ground. Still on International, good luck to Mikayla Gaunt and Chevonne Day who are competing at the Youth World Show Championships being held in Oaklahoma, USA from the 1st August 2019. We look forward to hearing how you both went. Congratulations and good luck also to those AQHA members selected in the 2020 Youth World Cup team to compete next year in the Netherlands. We look forward to sharing your journey. Thank you to our members who lodged their breeding returns and registrations on time. The office has worked tirelessly to get through the backlog and I would like to personally thank the AQHA team for their dedication to our membership and our Association. Reminder, 1st of August is Membership renewal time and the end of the 2019 Point score year. To celebrate our High Point award winners please join us in Melbourne on the 12th October at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. Our AGM will be held at 11am also on the 12th October at the same venue. We look forward to welcoming as many members as possible to these two important events.
