Q18 Amateur Division Teams Challenge results: Janelle Wallace, Joe Wallace Absent from the photo is Liz Christian Winter has arrived A Note from Kilmore Equine Clinic in Victoria The Amateur Division Teams Challenge is a great way to meet new people, it gives you a reason to chat to Amateurs that you do not know or are outside your friendship group. Every Amateur should be in the Teams Chal- lenge at the State Show. Amateur encompasses Amateur, Select Amateur and Novice Amateur. Upcoming events that are running an Amateur Teams Challenge Event - let’s make sure every Amateur (Amateur, Select and Novice) is in a team. It is fun and the worst thing that can happen, is that you may not win, but you will make new friends. QLD State Show 3rd-6th July - Teams Challenge winners were: Kerry Dersken and Janette Mansley The Amateur Division Business Plan has been submitted to the AQHA. The Survey results indicated that our Amateurs wanted the free Clinics to be run in each State, this was a major component of our submission. The Amateur Division will be sending the Annual Survey to all Amateurs in the near All comments and statistics will be sent to the AQHA, as a direct communication from our Amateurs. Due to the sudden cold weather, we have seen a large amount of under-weight, older horses. Please ensure you follow below to help them get through the colder months.  Things to consider are: • Diet adequate for the increased need for energy to keep warm, giving a balanced feed with adequate levels of protein, carbohydrates and fibre. • Rugging and shelter • Vaccination, worming and dental programs are up to date. You should also make sure you take the rug off at least once a week to check on the condition of your horse and to inspect for any rubbing or wither sores.
