This year Summer Sizzler offered two AA Shows with US Judges, Kelly Bole Chapman from Belevue, Michigan and Rebecca Halvor- son from Oklahoma. The weather was very kind to us with around 27C to 32C average temps for perfect show weather. Tuesday evening saw a new era in our ‘Free Dinner’ for competitors, friends, family and sponsors, being a chance to get together and have a little fun. The numbers board made sure of that, with the eventual winners taking home $450 each, being Nicole Moore and Dale Rolls. The dinner was held in the Wilson Hall this year, capably catered for by Pam Jones, Wayne Jones, Dale Rolls, Kaye Neal, Jason Harris and John Steel. The food was delicious with lots of laughs and a most enjoyable evening was had by all. Wednesday 20th saw our staff Emma Altas, Show Secre- tary, with Chris Mobberley at her side in our new Goul- burn Valley Quarter Horse and Western Riding Clubs Mobile Office. Our Show Manager, Jeff Hall and his lovely wife, Lee Anne, were our Trail, Ranch Riding and Reining Stewards. Our announcer, Terry McSweeney, kept us all informed and Gate Marshall, Mark Berwick, kept everyone on their toes. Of course our famous Ring Steward, Dale (Dickie) 24 • The Australian Quarter Horse Magazine • March • April• April • 2019 2019 Rolls, did a fantastic job.
