We left the pub with recharged batteries for
2014, having forgotten for a while the toil and
trying events of the year, and with the
satisfaction of having fostered friendship and
solidarity among our members, which is one
of the founding purposes of APrIR.
We were in for another treat, as thanks to the
offices of member Juanita Nicenboim, the
event was recorded in the social pages of La
Capital.

Do it yourself! Adapt or develop speaking teaching resources
On October 5th Prof. Malena Botto offered another of her insightful presentations for
APrIR at Asociación Rosarina de Cultura Inglesa. It was a joy to
see how trainees, novice and experienced teachers alike flocked
to this event, where the right balance was struck by the presenter
between theoretical considerations of the speaking skill, materials
analysis, activity design and exam
preparation. Sounds like too
much? It wasn’t in the expert hands of Prof. Botto, who
in addition accompanied her talk with stunning and
memorable visuals.
We would like to thank Prof Botto for her generosity
in sharing her expertise, and ARCI Director of
Studies Mónica Pérez for granting us use of this
venue and seeing to every detail in the organisation
together with other members of staff.
