Season
To Everything
There is a
by Ann Leach
It’s such a time of change, isn’t it?
I don’t know about your part of
the world, but here in the Midwest
of the USA I am still waiting for
a snow storm. Instead, we are
welcoming higher than usual
temperatures and, while I enjoy it,
I’m still longing for some snow.
My reason is simple: things slow
down when the snow comes and
impairs driving. The phones are
quiet because people can’t get
into work. It’s as if we’ve all been
given permission to relax and
lighten up on ourselves, make
some chili, build a fire, and read
a book.
I know that I could give myself
these kinds of days just about
anytime, but there is something
special about the rest of the city
endorsing them too.
While Mother Nature might be
confused about the seasons, we
need the down time. This is when
ideas are germinating, taking
root in the desires of our heart,
and resting just under the surface
where they are being nurtured
and fed until it is time to burst
forth and blossom with new life.

What goals have you planted in
your mind’s eye that are being
nurtured, even now, just below
the surface? You have planted
some, haven’t you? It doesn’t just
take a New Year’s resolution to
move us forward, we can establish
our goals at any time and they
deserve to have our energy and
focus in order to manifest.
Here are the steps I take to
increase my goal setting and
manifesting powers:
•
Plant the seed of desire by
getting clear on the details of
what I want in my life.
•
Write down those details as if
they are already happening.
•
Meditate on the right, next
steps and truly listen for
guidance. It may be to do
nothing, but trust that the
universe will handle it. I
might get that I should read
a chapter in a certain book
or have a conversation with a
friend. I listen.
•
Take inspired action. When I
am tuned in, then I am able
to trust that the actions I am
inspired to take are just what I
need at that time.
•
Celebrate the small steps.
So often we’re focused on
the big goal, yet there has
been progress made that
we’ve observed but haven’t
celebrated. Each step gets
us closer to the goal so give
yourself credit for all that is
unfolding on the manifesting
path. Acknowledging what
is happening keeps the
momentum, and your
focus, going.
It’s human nature to try to rush
the process. But if we can let go
and trust that we’ve followed the
steps and know that everything
happens in its season, we can
relax and enjoy the down time
of a nurturing period, or a snow
storm, in nature that assures
us our desires are taking root,
even though we may not see the
results right away.
Water those desires and goals
with trust and faith, knowing that
even now all things are working
together for your good. Spring
forth to receive that good and
trust the timing, snow or no snow!
