Trasher parties are legendary in Bangkok, but they are a fickle bunch as they don’t take place
at one specific bar or club. Instead, Trasher announce parties through Facebook and word-of-
mouth with events taking place roughly once every couple of months. Each party has a different
theme which could be anything from Romeo and Juliet to 80s Popstars to Ghetto Superstars,
but you can bet your bottom dollar that there’ll be plenty of costumes up on stage. Going by the
slogan, “You’ve got to express what is taboo in you. And share your freak with the rest of us” you
can expect a wild party wherever it may take place.
Tawan Go-Go Bar is famed far and wide for its extensive selection of male hosts and dancers.
Packed almost every night, this bar stages regular shows up on stage. Drink prices are steep
but worth it considering there’s no admission fee.
