Toughest: Capable of great endurance; sturdy; hardy. Strong and durable; not easily broken I have no doubt there are some 200 pound Amberjack swimming around the rigs out of Venice, and I'll bet they are wearing numerous hooks and leaders like punk rock jewelry. Hooking an amberjack is the easy part, they're definitely not rocket scientists. Once you hook them, however, is when your troubles begin; in order to get them out of the rig, you have to put so much drag on them that it can be very difficult for the angler. I would venture to say that more than one angler has been yanked out of the back of the boat while the captain drives off in an attempt to clear the line from the rig.
