Aarti Vijay Gupta’s line was a mélange of
colourful prints that are her leitmotif. The Amrich
collection in black, red, blue and green in khadi
and Tussar with hand embroidery, metal sequins
and Shibori was a great Western wear look.
Namrata Joshipura’s collection ‘Blend in Blend
Out’ inspired by Captain Marvel had gowns,
jumpsuits and pantsuits in feminine silhouettes.
Pallavi Mohan’s label Not So Serious brought
the ‘Simply Studio 54’ collection with hints of the
’70s, featuring flowing dresses, sexy off-shoulder
and halter creations, and oversized blouses in
jewel tones for satin, velvet and lamé.
Pankaj and Nidhi presented taffeta, silk, velvet
and organza with texturing, quilting with faux
leather discs, squares, petals and trellises.
From Rabani and Rakha, the look was opulent
with gold paisley motifs and leopard Moros
splashed with pearls and sequin work to create
a glamorous line that had emeralds and rubies

sparkle. Vineet Bahl’s youthful line of dresses,
loose pants, tunics and jackets will appeal to
trendy dressers.
DAY FOUR
6Degree opened Day Four with five designers.
Doh Tak Keh’s ‘Sola Maala’ was designed from
waste like plastic bottles, wrappers and textile
leftovers. Tiso Ghari by Badal and Bhoomi
brought the faggoting technique to the forefront
on khadi. Done and Dusted by Disha had
structured lines for the ‘Escape’ collection, while
SGBG Atelier’s collection called ‘Knots’ was
all about volumes with metres of embroidery
and organza. Paras Chawla showed ‘Retro
Cityscapes’ in khaki with checks in the form of
gamchas for an Indian touch.
Karishma Deepa Sondhi displayed ‘Chrysalis’
in velvet and crêpe with hand embroidery, faux
leather, beadwork and prints. Kommal Sood
