FASHION SPEAK For her label Nirmooha, Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia’s ‘Aranya’ collection in silk organza with embroidered motifs had touches of nature and the birds. Samant Chauhan worked with jewel tones of pink, orange, rust with burgundy and ivory for glamorous looks. Suneet Varma’s ‘Anaya’ line with traditional motifs had Red Carpet glamour in rich hues for lehengas, blouses, capes, skirts, palazzos, pants and gowns. Designers featured in The Curve show included Sanjukta Dutta, Prerna Adsul, Julie Shah and AOM by Gauri and Kunal, who displayed a variety of Indian, Western and plus size creations. DAY THREE ‘Rhea’ by Ashwini Reddy was a festive collection, while the Ruceru label displayed ‘I Am’, a bridal look that will thrill the wedding couple. From Shivani Jain, it was ‘Circle of Life’ that featured gowns, dresses and separates for formal wear. But Simmi Saboo’s ‘IKYA’ collection was a line of traditional outfits for grand festive wear. Charu Parashar’s ‘Avanta Gardiste’ collection inspired by chintz was dramatic in silk, lk, velvet, georgette and organza for lehengas, capes, jackets ckets and dhotis, in rich tones of navy, red, sea green, n, black and gold for men and women. Dolly J brought colours like mint and candy pink for the ’70s florals on pleated skirts with fur-sleeved blouses.
