he Monticello School District provides
a high-quality, learning environment
designed to increase student achievement
for the 4,000 K-12 students. Our early education
and community education offerings insure all
residents in the district can engage in learning
opportunities. The school district employs more
than 300 highly qualified teachers, most with
Master’s Degrees, to engage students through
best practice techniques and the technology
necessary to help students reach their potential.
The Monticello School District continually

High school students have the opportunity
to choose from a wide range of college-credit
courses, part-time enrollment at Wright Technical
Center, music offerings (including orchestra, band
and choir) and over 40 extra-curricular sports and
activities. The state-wide average of high school

graduates who attend post-secondary is 68%,
while 85% of Monticello High School students
attend a post-secondary college.
