Two hospitals primarily
serve the Lakeville area.
W
e are blessed with a variety of health care providers in and around the
Lakeville area with both daytime and evening hours. Independent
medical groups and clinics associated with several major health systems including
Allina, Fairview, Northfield Hospital & Clinics, and Park Nicollet have clinics
in Lakeville. Specialized local providers include dermatologists, chiropractors,
physical therapists, dentists, orthodontists, opticians and optometrists.
Fairview Ridges Hospital
As the south metro area’s largest hospital,
Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville
offers 24-hour emergency care, general
surgery, orthopedic and spine care, Level
3 trauma care, heart care, The Birthplace,
Neonatal Intensive Care and an American
College of Surgeons accredited cancer
program. Fairview Ridges is the only hospital
in Minnesota to be named a Center of
Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic
Surgery by the American Institute of
Minimally Invasive Surgery. Located on
the Ridges Campus in Burnsville, Fairview
partners with University of Minnesota
Physicians and the University of Minnesota
to provide a myriad of specialty services on
campus including cardiology, a pediatric
hospitalist service, neonatology, and
intensivists caring for ICU patients, pediatric
specialists, maternal fetal medicine specialists
caring for high-risk obstetrical patients,
and oncology/hematology and associated
surgical specialists. In addition to Fairview
Clinics-Lakeville and the Institute for Athletic
Medicine (IAM), Fairview Clinics are located
in the adjacent communities of Farmington,
Rosemount, Apple Valley, Burnsville, and Prior
Lake and include a variety of specialists and
offer IAM and Fairview Pharmacy Services.
Northfield Hospital
Northfield Hospital in Northfield offers 24
hour emergency care and surgical services.
FamilyHealth Medical Clinic-Lakeville strives
to offer an environment where patients feel
secure and supported. Northfield Hospital
provides a wide range of medical services,
including general surgery, advanced
diagnostic imaging, comprehensive
rehabilitation services, chemotherapy, home
care and hospice. The hospital is the anchor of
an integrated health campus which includes
a long-term care center, Women’s Health
Center of Northfield Hospital, First Touch Birth
Center, and specialized facilities for cardiology,
oncology and obstetrics.
