If you are exhibiting at an upcoming tradeshow in the next
few months, you probably already have your booth display
planned out, supplies ordered, and signs ready to go. You’re
ready to hit the road!…or are you? Here are a few last-minute
pointers to help polish your presentation and allow you to get
the most out of exhibiting at a show.
Know your key questions: Prepare concise and accurate an-
swers to all the frequently asked questions you and your team
may have fielded in the past. Tradeshow attendees have many
booths to visit and seminars to attend, so don’t trap them

with long-winded answers unless they ask for more detail.
Remember that clarity trumps persuasion. In addition, write
down all of the questions that you get asked at your booth and
summarize the answers for everyone who works at the booth.
Polish your elevator pitch: Since you only have people’s at-
tention for a short span, you need to be clear when you tell
people exactly what you do; be simple and be specific.
Point out cool features: Instead of giving people the complete
