cles — and for good reason. Contractors
and public road departments take many
approaches to pavement maintenance, but
choosing the best approach can mean all
the difference between saving or spending

dollars over time.

Eco-friendly, asphalt-based products like
SealMaster’s Liquid Road, a polymer modified, fiber-rein-
forced bituminous surface treatment, have become an inte-
gral part of many public and private pavement maintenance
and preservation programs. It’s formulated to last about three
times longer than typical sealcoat, providing extremely dura-
ble protection to roads, streets, airport taxi-
ways, parking lots and other paved assets.
When choosing an eco-friendly, as-
phalt-based product, it's important to con-
sider a few factors. Look for products with
specifically graded aggregate to ensure an
adequate anti-skid surface texture to help
ensure motorist safety. Another factor to
look for is fully encapsulated sand, resulting
in a much cleaner, safer, more cost-effective
and longer lasting surface treatment. Liquid
Road has both specifically graded aggregate and fully encap-
sulated sand. In wet track abrasion tests, Liquid Road signifi-
cantly outperforms sand seal; DOT approved Locked Wheel
Skid Tests consistently rate Liquid between 34 and 36.
