South Patrol District
The South District participated
in the donation of 6,000
backpacks and 400 cases of
water to Mansfield ISD for a
Back to School Bash.

children in 5 classes.

The South Patrol District focused
on violent and property crimes in 2018.
There were several citizen outreach
efforts that were conducted. The
district also completed the annual
holiday patrol operations in the retail
commercial corridor along I.H. 20.
The district participated in a Back to
School Bash with Mansfield ISD where
over 6,000 backpacks were provided to
students. Citizens were
able to connect with
officers during Coffee
with a Cop forums.
The South Retail
District Unit focused
on the Parks Mall,
Arlington Highlands,
and other commercial
properties around
those areas to ensure
a successful holiday
period. Over 2,100
resource hours were
dedicated to a holiday
detail which resulted in 694 traffic stops
and 118 arrests.
There are 14 officers involved
across 11 sports platforms supporting
the department’s Coach 5-0 program.
Student athletes are mentored by
officers and employees through
participation at practices and sporting
events.
