Investing in the Community
Geographic Policing is the way law
enforcement services are provided
in Arlington. One of the underlying
goals is for officers to get to know
their residents and build healthy
relationships with the community. In
November, Sgt. Robert Robertson
and Officer Jeremy Lee were riding
through an apartment complex when
they noticed a child needed some
help with a bicycle tire. Within a few minutes, a new tube was installed to
get the child back on his bike. A citizen snapped a photo of this simple act
of kindness that reinforces our commitment to geographic policing.
Coffee with a Cop is a unique
way for you to connect with
officers and staff. We know
that not everyone can attend a
community meeting, so we have
adopted non-traditional ways to
meet residents.
Arlington’s finest were captured playing basketball with students from
Sherrod Elementary.
Watch UR BAC is a youth initiative to curb underage drinking. DWI
Enforcement Officer Stacie Brown has committed countless hours to
hosting seminars and teaching young adolescents on the dangers of
impaired driving. Teens are able to participate in a simulator on the
dangers of getting behind the wheel while impaired.

Officer Jeff Lee takes some
time to enjoy the afternoon with
the kids by challenging them to
a run. Activities such as these
build rapport and elevate trust
with the community. Officer Lee is
assigned to East Foot Patrol and
regularly interacts with children
and teens as he performs his
duties.
