• Ditto Elementary pulled a last-minute win
out of the annual basketball challenge
between officers and students.
• A new community coalition was created
in a blighted neighborhood that was
experiencing crime issues.
The West Patrol District is
overseen by Deputy Chief Chavela
Hampton. Officers continued
to proactively patrol their beats
with an emphasis on preventing
incidents before they occur.
Several career criminals were put
behind bars as a result of officers
conducting traffic stops and
responding to calls.
For the third consecutive
year, students at Ditto Elementary
pulled out a last-minute win during
the annual basketball challenge
game. The competition consisted
of 6 th graders battling it out against
police officers and firefighters.
This interaction between students
and First Responders provide an
excellent opportunity to establish
positive rapport and forge strong
