purchased a new command
vehicle in 2015. Extensive
research and planning went

the team. SWAT Officers also
routinely assist the Training
Center teaching firearms
and providing classroom
instruction on a variety of
topics.
The Homeland Security/
Special Events Unit is led
by Lt. Scott Brown. The
primary focus of the unit is
on special event
management
and allocation
of resources to provide a
safe venue for visitors to the
Entertainment District. The
unit reviewed 165 special
event permits and hosted 205
events at the two stadiums.
