Pinwheel display to raise awareness of child abuse
The Crimes Against Children Unit participated in Child Abuse Prevention
Month and hosted a pinwheel display at the Ott Cribbs Public Safety
Building. Each pinwheel represented a case of physical or sexual abuse

the event which included officers and volunteers placing more than 400
pinwheels on the front lawn. The display, which was coordinated by Detective
Emma Trevino, remained in place for a week and provided a visual reminder
of our youngest victims.

with the public to contact the
police department if anyone has
information about the homicide
investigation.
